Today I baked brownies using my brownie mix from Heart, Hands, Home. This is amazing mix, and better than any purchased from the store -and I know exactly what is in it! I also used melted butter instead of the oil.
The Pampered Chef products shown are:
Stoneware large bar pan
Deluxe Mini-Muffin tin
I have the Stoneware cookie sheet and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, so I was really excited to try out the large bar pan that came in the kit. I really liked how the brownies turned out. They are chewy and the edges are harder, but not tooth-breaking hard. I had too much to fit just in the pan, so I made mini brownie bites. Also were very good -chewy on the inside. I have a pizza cutter that is plastic so it didn't scratch the stoneware at all.
Here is a little bit about Pampered Chef stoneware:
No preheating — just place food on Stoneware and cook. (Dense frozen foods like meat should be thawed first.)
Absorbs and retains heat for even baking and golden crusts.
Draws moisture away from food so it cooks light and crispy.
Virtually nonporous, so it doesn't retain oils, odors or flavors.
Microwave-, freezer-, conventional and convection oven-safe.
Nonstick “seasoning” builds up with every use: the darker it looks, the better it cooks!
The first few times I use a stoneware product, I lightly brush the bottom with olive oil. This is recommended until it builds its own nonstick surface.
So, there you go. My experience with the Stoneware large bar pan and the Delux mini muffin pan. Both were a win with my brownies!! :)

Pancakes
Does this count as cooking ? ;)
I made pancakes the other day using some of our items from our kit. I used:
classic batter bowl, nylon turner, stainless whisk, easy read measuring cup and measuring spoon
The pancake mix I used is from Heart, Hands, Home. It's fantastic and easy to whip up some yummy pancakes quickly. I tested it out before school starts. I may not always want to wake up and make some pancake batter from scratch.
Of course, I loved everything I used. I really enjoy the measuring cup and spoons. They have a wider opening so it's easy to pour out of containers that have large openings without spilling half the mix, flour, dry ingredients on the counter.
The batter bowl holds 8 cups, so it was a little bigger than I needed. I do not have the smaller batter bowl yet, but this worked even with a lower amount of batter.
So far, I love everything!
